    Shadows of Life

    (02.03.00)
Emptiness covers my life. Broken hearts covers my soul. Shadows over my eyes. I don't understand why I feel so lifeless. It's like my life is in someone elses hands, like I am a puppet. They cut my strings and I'm laying on the cold empty floor tangled in myself. Tears roll down my lifeless face just to end up on the floor to dry up and die. No one knows I'm there to pick me up to put new strings on me. I'm alone to watch my tears die.

Very well written. Imagery vivid, emotional piece that is easy to relate to. Everyone feels this way one time or another. Thanks for sharing. Perhaps we can be friend poets? Zep

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
