    Depths of Fire

For you I walked through the depths of fire,
Only to find out you're a liar.
You pulled my heart like thread until it was just an empty spool.
Why did I waste my wilted heart on such a fool?
I asked you to put my broken heart back together,
Instead you ripped it apart like a feather.
You spoke words so full of compassion,
Then you turned right around and burned my heart until it was ashen.
I'd gone through all of this pain for you,
Only to find out it was never true.
But for you I'd still walk through the depths of fire,
Even though my heart is so full of tire.

"I asked you to put my broken heart back together, Instead you ripped it apart like a feather."—oh, so powerful and original. A look into your aching heart by way of lovely metaphors. Bravo!!!!!!!

I see great potential here...keep up the good work...very soul baring.....raw emotions when someone you love hurts you.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
