    DaDaDream

    Institutionalized farewell

    To my disembodied competition

      During DireDaDaDream

    Your shell, you’re trying

    TheRabbitHoles

    That fill you with

    LizardWomenPornography

    In I terrible; a stereotype!

    Me growing a meaning

    During SadDrug AtomicBombing

      Of death; I now become
    Somber Cyberpunk

In indifference the for DO NOT BRAIN

    They say that is the ExpectationWorld;

    A TheUnitedStatesOfAmerica

    For DafurDays and GreyGrayGræi

During in become for a DeathScary

    Awake Cthulu in a thought

    Says it’s don’t I but sprechen

    The down possibility

    AndAndAnd TearGasCanister

    TheHead come bid farewell

Dear stigbonoison, // I am familiar with DaDa and have read its history and appreciate its art. My belief is that DaDa is a high-wire walk. It srains to be itself with the tension between nihilism and the revolt against nihilism, struggling for meaning like a dying person gasping for life. Sometimes the struggle and the tension produce somethin worthwhile. //Even if you were smoking something when you wrote this, that didn't stop Kubla Khan and Xanadu, and it didn't stop you. // I undertand what it means to be "growing a meaing" amidst the angst that too much knowledge of the world, its present realities and its history, can cause. // Little pieces of reality look nice, and are nice. They should be looked at and appreciated. But the big picture of It All shows the world and life to be a DireDaDaDream. // Your political references are serious and real, but the over-all meaning of a poem struggling to have meaning against the meaningless, is existential and deep below the surface of everything. The "down possibility" is always present, threatening harm, even to overwhelm reality. // If you ever really and fully fall in love, or if you find a friend so precious and perfect for you--and I have done both--you will realize that Camus was right when he wrote: "Absurdity reigns, but love saves us from it.' As for meaning, Camus wrote that "Man has a meaning, because he insists on having one." In the conventions of the time, he meant to include men and women in this statemen. // Albert Camus is one of my favorite philosophers. He wrote many things that move me emotionally and esthetically--in other workds, he was a poet--and he wrote things that mean much to me. He wrote this: "Do not walk ahead of me; I may not follow. Do not walk behind me; I may not lead. Walk beside me; and just be my friend." // I hope that you and I might walk for a little time, side by side; and that we will be friends. --MIchael LP, Mr. Poet

I don't know what you were smoking when this came to mind, but your stream-of-consciousness trip is interesting, but for me not compelling. Perhaps, I'm just choking on the smoke.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
