    Moonchild

            Moonchild

     

     

    There you are high

    above me,

    looking down upon me.

     

    I am pulled to you,

    I couldn’t stay away

    even if I wanted to.

     

    We talk of nothing,

    completely enthralled

    struck by your every word.

     

    I drink you up

    late into the night,

    like liquid you flow over me.

     

    Drunk on your endless love,

    I revolve around

    your every move.

     

    You dream away

    my darkness for you

    are my ray of light.

     

    I wake to you

    leaving me alone

    as the light ends our night.

     

    Thinking of you, I make my

    way through the day until

    you will come upon me again.
