Exterminate to extinction
Exterminate to extinction
As far as the eye could see
thousands upon thousands
of American Bison
peacefully grazing
on the wild grasses
of the Great Plains;
then came the rapid
firing of Winchesters
from the hidden poachers
trespassing
on the Tribal lands,
stampeding the herd
into a deadly trap
where countless buffalo
are slaughtered
to be skinned and sold;
their carcasses left to rot
under the hot sun.
Government agents
turn a blind eye
to these illegal events
having heard
the master plan
to deprive the Indians
of their key source
of food and clothing
for when the cold winter
comes down upon them
they will starve and freeze
forcing them to their knees,
into submission,
to agree to give up
their lands and live on
Government Reservations.
