Legacy Part One
praise the fire insidethis irredeemable liar
as the pilgrims throw their torch
into the outlaws pyre
aloud he screams, as the flames lick his toes
"you shall never again know the freedom of the forested hills"
blood spills into sand and soaks into the earth
this pilgrim landing God chose for his birth
dominion over eagles reaches
into the tunnels of the worm
day one begins of the white mans curse...
drown the south leeching rivers with sand
dam those waters
to increase the size of the land
spin the coke strong monkey
disbanded
oak barrel racing
for cock fighting money
slave the bell to the broken shoreline
and ring the freedom when the belt tightens time...
frozen men march over devastations crevasse
and linger over remnants of salted wine
pour catholic rosaries into carafes of ballads vine
derisive cacophonous valentine
mute bondsmen deferred hangmans wrath
over angels shaken bouquet in the path of the deft
bizarre tokens left in the hand of vagabond
ancient chances taken in the land of the foregone...
hollow wizards weep tears of precious worth
deformed beneath the sweep of man's footwork
shylock divinations owe the nations of the world
every landbridge taken by the missing links girth
old soul declarations might stow away the tide
and save us from the laughter of a mishapen clowns mirth
angered gods of antebellum
rise up in the streets and let the children eat
the misled mongrels of european stock
over running nations with capitalized mockery
disjointed visions
from leaders to lesions
ungentle nights become hard worn campaigns
the indians accept the winners blame...
drill holes in the sibling trees
sacramental ties to immaculate ovaries
ships sail over oceans seas
and burn the blessed wonders
in favor of stolen steward decrees
as misled as the vatican
billions choose to deceive generations
and sow fear like wheat
in the sun of a fallen kingdom
growing wilder than defeat after a numbing orgasm...
