Immolated
here I stand
woke up from a dream of lies
the earth like glass
I can't grasp
a moment of peace
there is no release
from my disease
I cannot ease
others lives only complicate
my tenuous ties
and make the world a darker place
I break every mirror I face
and here I stand
in this world of lies
bitten by flies of failure
and disgrace
there is no redemption
no hope
no fall from grace
a sideways tunnel to the next world of hate
a fear i cant negate
or negotiate
I walk a line
between destruction and redemption
I drink fire
and I drown in expression
my world is my eyes
and I'm blind from the noise
each screech of love
of laughter
rips and annoys
and here I stand
without a scratch
my hand on the latch
about to set fire and lock myself in
and scream in the darkness
as the flames melt my skin
woke up from a dream of lies
the earth like glass
I can't grasp
a moment of peace
there is no release
from my disease
I cannot ease
others lives only complicate
my tenuous ties
and make the world a darker place
I break every mirror I face
and here I stand
in this world of lies
bitten by flies of failure
and disgrace
there is no redemption
no hope
no fall from grace
a sideways tunnel to the next world of hate
a fear i cant negate
or negotiate
I walk a line
between destruction and redemption
I drink fire
and I drown in expression
my world is my eyes
and I'm blind from the noise
each screech of love
of laughter
rips and annoys
and here I stand
without a scratch
my hand on the latch
about to set fire and lock myself in
and scream in the darkness
as the flames melt my skin
