Friendy Interference
God took the chewed end of the hookah
Into His mouth and drew in.
He exhaled,
Filling the sky with many smokey clouds.
Some were dense,
Bursting at their seams,
Plump as cotton,
While others floated in a ribbon
Whose tail soon disappeared.
He sat back on his own white cushion
And grinned.
"Soon it will rain."
The Sun,
Not at all happy with this recent interference,
Glared down at the silver-white masses
that multiplied as She looked on.
She would have to abide by His decision
And allow this storm to happen.
The once smokey white clouds
begin to darken.
A far away rumbling of thunder
Can be heard.
The sky alights with sudden brilliance.
He offers the hookah.
She turns her face away,
Directing her attention
Elsewhere.
