Four Seasons Of Love
Our love was pure and it was youngIt basked in summer sunshine
Hearts soared and stomachs fluttered
Storm clouds began to loom
Thunder boomed and lightening crashed
And then the icy rain fell
Chilling the air as winter took hold
Storms came and went
We rode out some
Fought against others
You were there and I was here
Unable to move toward the other
Frozen in our places
Uncaring if we ever did
Uncertain if ever again
Clouds scattered to reveal pale blue underneath
The air smelled sweet as the sun warmed icy hearts
Our love is true and it is strong
It has weathered the seasons
And it is ours
