The Place Where You Left Me
Yes, yes come in, come inFor it is you I have waited here for
This place it is dark and yes it is dank
But it is for you that I stayed
Don't you recall this place with no light?
You brought me here first to the eternal night
Why do you come to me so sad and depressed
When I am so glad that at last you have arrived
Are you comfortable, shall I pour you a drink
My apologies dear friend but the wine has no taste
The food is quite bland and smells quite foul
But never the less you are here to ease my sorrow
If you care take a seat, yes sit, sit
The furniture is quite dusty as you can see
You were the last to sit there
It seems like now that was an eternity
You did not come to visit you say?
Then what exactly was your intent?
Why come here when all you wanted to do was leave?
.................
So that is it
You came to say good-bye
When all I have done is live for you
The memory of us and what could be's
Yes my friend, I understand
You could never truly love me
We are too different but can't you see we are the same?
Wait, oh wait your eyes they have changed!
I remember such melancholy hidden deep in your soul
Self loathing and pity burdened your steps
Making your youthful features appear old
I can see you have regained your lost light
Is that why you left me behind?
To better yourself while I held you back
I suppose it is time to set you free
And pray, pray, pray that once again you will come back to me
