    By looking at a persons eyes you can tell what kind of life they have lived. They truly are the windows into the soul.

    The Light In Your Eyes

     The light in your eyes
    So much brighter than mine
    Lend me that spark
    So that I may feel alive

    Allow me entrance into your soul
    Tell me what secrets your heart holds
    Pervade your mind with my own dark thoughts

    Tell me now where has that light gone?
    How fragile that tiny glimmer truly is
    Good-bye I must now bid

    You are useless to me
    It was only just a game
    Don't look at me with such a cold glare
    I was never yours to claim

    How delicate and fragile that glimmer really is. Some aren't aware that there are those who don't know or don't care about that light. I love the initial yearning but ultimate despise the author holds for that light.

    One sometimes sees too much in another's eyes. A lovely poem, with a misty haze.......very nice.....................................gogant
