    deciding to jump @ Davenport

    lay me to sleep, sweet
    Neftali,
read to me meaning and time.

    open my eyes and close
    them,
    my friend

    take me away
    from this place.

i am a dream you whisper
    as unknown
    words become
    familiar.

    i am the flowers
    that push thru
    rocky seacliffs
    to see

    the ocean crash into
    itself and the shore
    to spit salt

    at the moon's phases.

how many faces do i offer?

as many as there are flowers
    or stars,

for as long as you decide to
    write.

    counting the waves
    and your delicate
    phrases thru
    the night.

at a place where friends and
    lovers hold onto life,
    halfway between worlds.

at the top of those rocky
    cliffs with your whispers

    and an undying urge
    to submerge myself

    in your words.

-the ocean opens up before me as the empty railroad tracks call me back.............

I can feel the urge to jump as vividly as if I were there. Your words hypnotize and then pull the reader back to reality with a start.....

The flowers that push through rocky seacliffs...nice line. very evocation and disturbing in a mysterious way. nice to read. Good work. Thanks!

Creatively written, I like the floating of your sweet words.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
