    • Cultures come to conquer and their gods applaud.

    Conflict of Gods

    In a garden of stars,
    Her brain becomes a snail.

    Shoulder shrug-
    The cigarette lit itself spitting
Smoke that turned blue as the
    Light cut through it.

    Her throat opened
    As she spoke,
    Drowning in a drought
    Of what she always
    Thought she wanted.

    WHY?,
    Slides thru her mind.
    Breathing in,
    WHAT IF?

    Confessions burn her lips
    As the cigarette gasps
    To stay lit-

    And her GODS create
    One final conflict.

This has a Bogey and Bacall feel to it. Nice. Very nice.
