TWO PARROTS ELDERLY
TWO PARROTS ELDERLY
Hay… you‘re just beautiful
Just that of newly
Bloomed rose
You‘re look like an angel
Hay… it is you’re my pair
Wedded fifty years of the same
Day, still seen ever green
On the day December fourth 1960
This mango tree is our shelter
Both of us have seen ever green
Leaves of this tree and ate sweet
Fruits of this tree every season
This is of rainy season, thick black
Clouds are seen up above and thunder
Lightening is common – the same way
Life is of good and bad, sweeter than honey
Our children three are – Srilakshmi (latha)
Jayanthi and Srividhya placed well
By god’s grace- Nethra, Sanjeev, Ramana
Arya and Keshav are our grand children
Hay… they are all of our lovely love
Like a big tree our home is a university
Be proud of them as we’re an example
Of living on earth
Friends and relatives are many
All are coming home
Greetings are showered on us
Grey hair is our property
A few of them are giving gifts
Falling down at our feet as we give
Blessings both of us,
Makes them happy
It is my pleasure, I need to give
You a golden wedding day gift
When I asked you, added with a
Smile, don’t want anything
Just love… love only
Just the way, we walked up
In life, both of us are blessed
By god to live like this
We thank Him and ask Him
To continue the same for ever
Like a big banyan tree our family
Surrounded with a beautiful garden
AYYAN – submitted for Dr S Rajagopal – Dr V R Parvathi
(Both the parrots flew away – for their fiftieth
Honey moon, where… it is yet left to our thinking)
