ELEPHANT
ELEPHANT
This is an animal living in thick forest
Altogether very bigger in size
Four legs are like pillars, one trunk
This can reach the ground to pick up things
From the ground or from the trees for eats
And other uses
Elephant used to walk faster even though
Heavy and bulky of it body and structure
Two eyes on it forehead are very sharp
In vision, to ears at the sides are bigger
One tail at the back that will swing to drive way
Miskito’s bites
Even child will like to have ride by siting on
For which the trainer will help to carry on
That can be done only when the elephant
Those are caught and brought to town forest
And trained by him
Especially in Hindu temples one can see this
Elephant related to a specious being that will be
Sending as first beginning of temple festival
Representing the God Vinayagar In general
This will do harm and everyone will like to get
Blessings that will be done by raising its trunk
Placing on one’s head of desired and
The trainer will can help for this
One can give a little coin that will be received
By its trunk and passed to the trainer
Elephant will eat green coconut tree’s leaves
Very nicely, coconut too by separating the outer
Layer and will eat the white of it peacefully
I used to give fruits of panama soft and sweet
Which is the one very much everybody will offer?
The trainer used to tie bells hanging by chain
On both sides to make bell’s voice to hear by us
While coming out side as an indication
Trainer is having ankuses to act and active
The elephant as to his direction by touching
Its body as he has trained it.
Trainer will take elephant to have its bath in river
Or somewhere watery place where it will enjoy
By taking water by its trunk and spray all over body
Which can be seen as wonderful view?
It will be a nice food made of rice and sugar candy
On panama leaves and panama in full punch
Sometime elephant will down, but most of the time
It will stand and oscillate it trunk here and there
As liked by its view as it is liked by me too
In those days king used to come on it back in a
Open shelter as an honor and pride of his regime
Thank god, this is very much sensible, if the trainer makes
Any mistake, this will keep in mind and take revenge
Sometime this will throw him out and placing him at
Its foot force to drive to death even
The great Tamil poet called Subramaniyam Bharathi
The turban man with big mustache in his young age
Once when he was standing before temples
Elephant, how and why the angry one attacked him
He died a little later and passed away, a great loss
Still it is a question in my mind
