MOTHER AND NATIVE PLACE
MOTHER and native place
She is my mother, she is not here
She is gone leaving everyone and
Everything including her soul and all
She will not come back
She lived like an angel, her mother
Was a peculiar in many ways
With a name Ponnammal
Father’s name is Sivashanku
Very pious man and calm mannerism
He possessed own home and lovely garden
He was farmer, hailed from notable
Family, very big status in all respect
Iruallappan, Irulaiee served for them
With their other family people
At the farm and farm house
Consists of 2 Acers of land
At the northern side, just a distance
Of this piece of land, there is a big
Banyan tree a rare one where in
Crows and sparrows used to live
Happily making their shelters
With sticks and hay and cotton
One can see fruits of banyan tree
Red in colour very fine to see
But we never used to eat those
Goes to birds only, the seeds inner
Side is very small, smaller
Leaves are all of its lovely shape
One can see a temple appearance
A pillar like with oil holder at its top
A cotton thread is treated to light
The same after sun sets
Irulappa swami is the Devine God
With a shrine made of single stone
Appearing bold and strong holding
Knife s in hands, as if he is standing
As security to the human beings and
All others, one who see the statue,
Will be attracted by his mustache
And his forehead and turban
He will give punishment to those
Who are making undoes here
The pillar is like a lamp having
Its colour strips in red and white
We used light the pillar as a honor
To the irulappa semi even at days
One can pray before him, and he
Will be blessed for success
It is just a forest like all around
And heard a noise as some thing
Is reaping at the ground dried leaves
As making its sound
It is a snake five foot long or more
One can see it as the fear got in mind
Irullaee told us that it real cobra
And there is its pair also living
These snakes will never bites
Unless otherwise they are disturbed
By others, so we kept silent and moved
From there safely
If you say snake even the soldiers will
Be afraid of, my heart was beating
Unusually and started a run away
From there to a safely measure
My mother told me that she has
Seen the snakes once when she
Was there during young age
As this is an experience
And then we reached our farm house
Safe, my heart beat came to normal
After some times, she said to drink
A glass of water
