Stars
It's at night,
the dark dark night
and without stars,
when I sleep
I just can't dream,
I don't know why,
but I get ill.
For us both
I want
to raise a cup
to drown
my obstinance
and so forget
what once was.
So I come here,
to this saloon
to lose my soul,
and drunk in cups,
to erase lost kisses
in the nostalgia
of the lips of another,
sung in the smoke
and laughter
of your memory.
the dark dark night
and without stars,
when I sleep
I just can't dream,
I don't know why,
but I get ill.
For us both
I want
to raise a cup
to drown
my obstinance
and so forget
what once was.
So I come here,
to this saloon
to lose my soul,
and drunk in cups,
to erase lost kisses
in the nostalgia
of the lips of another,
sung in the smoke
and laughter
of your memory.
