Mirage
Noon.
Cattle crossing.
Dust devils obscure
sun bleached longhorn skull.
Anti grav quit.
Sweat and sand burn my eyes.
Things go wrong.
Cold beer and a cigar.
No clouds no rain.
I did my best.
A friend in words is near.
Phrases to please the ear.
Thanks from me he'll hear.
Still, there is alot to do.
I see a shimmering pool to the east.
A tiny sparrow glibly flies by.
God protects me.
So I can be happy.
Time to fire up the Harley.
