Sight
Beautiful view
Displayed for the blind eyes of the world
Those blind eyes never see what is real
Eyes that will never make it past the skin
Eyes that rip apart the heart of beauty
Eyes that don’t deserve to gaze
Eyes that take what isn’t theirs
Eyes that break every rule
Those blind eyes never see what is real
They are empty windows
To empty heads
They are liars
To those who need the truth
They are thieves
Stealing from the poor
To feed their terrible notions.
They are cowards
Hiding from the scenes that they create
Hiding away hoping to disappear.
Those blind eyes never see what is real
To see you need to close your eyes
Let your heart be your guide
Listen to what they have to say
Tuck your biases away
Then,
With eyes closed you will see
The depths of inner beauty.
Those blind eyes never see what is real
