Meaning of Life
Life is not a game you buy in a store,
It's not the way you treat others or others treat you,
Not in the search for happiness, if it can be found,
There in lies a secret, Not on a mountain top,
Not on the news or in school, Some thing from the heart,
Or maybe just a little bit more,
Maybe as you drive down the road late at night,
That is how I found mine,
Summer night, warm breeze with the windows down,
Corn field with tassles in bloom, sweet smell in the air,
Deep breath of the night, Feelings open up,
Senses come alive, Every thing stops,
You may be moving but you can't tell,
All you hear are crickets chirping, you feel the soil,
A blade of grass, one than another, and all,
Everything around you floods into your being,
You grow, You know, You sense it all,
Just as you reach out and grasp the feelings,
The knowledge laid out before you, The truth,
It's gone......
