    Feeling down and out... but still hanging on to hope!

    Feeling Blue

    Sadness came over me

    Tears began to flow

    Hugged my pillow

    Never wanting to let go

    *

    Feelings of emptiness

    Filled my heart

    Words all jumbled

    Unable to complete a thought

    *

    What did I do?

    To deserve all this pain

    Most days I feel like

    I have nothing to gain

    *

    Lord, please put the sunshine

    Back into my life

    All these dark clouds

    Are bringing me down

    *

    Remembering back when

    I was just a little girl

    Daddy would hold me

    He’d say cry it all out baby

    *

    I have all the time in the world

    For my little girl

    If it takes all day

    Then here we’ll stay

    *

    I could have used

    My daddy’s arms today

    However, the Lord saw fit

    To take him away

    *

    Even though I felt so blue

    I sensed an angel maybe two

    Watching over me from heaven above

    I miss you mama and daddy

    And all your love

    *

    This was easy to tell that it was from the heart and heartfelt. I too have lost my daddy and miss him so. Daddy's so have a way of being there when we really feel done. This is a wonderful poem, even though about being down. I look forwarded to reading more. Blessed Be.

    a sparkling poetic gem in all of its transparent glitter. both of my parents died in the same year, making me an orphan. i feel you.

    Is there anything so sad as a little girl wanting her dad to hold her because she is so lonely...and yet, so touchingly sweet...........A wonderful, endearing little poem.......................................gogant

    IT is ok to be blue just dont stay blue go out see what nature is doing . Ever watch a rabbit hunt for food I make stories up about where they are going when i see one . Smile Mary your angels are watching . Great poem Marie
