WHEN LOVE AIN'T NEW
I love her, I love him
Sounds so unique,
When love is new this how you usually think
All encompassing thoughts
Seems jus right when love begins
Starting out as just friends
Romance is sparked,
Characterized by walks, or
Staring at one another in the park
Sometimes even way after dark,
Followed by talks on the phone
Til all times of night, as affection
Is on your display and
Everything in your world just feels right!
But sometimes weather changes
And love loses sunlight
As the love you thought would last
Is now in danger, as you try to rearrange
Desparately remembering the past,
Feelings out of control, love soured
Has your soul scoured, for in your heart
There is now a hole that slowly replaces
Where you felt most whole.
Causes are many, as time reveals many
Idiosyncrasies are Plenty and come out real bold
Discrepancies exposed
As a sign to let you know love that is new
Has gotten old. Now you are tired
And refuse to continue, as the taste
Of this particular love you no
Longer desire to be on your menu
So how do you feel or stop to feel
When Love Ain’t New? There are
Signs all the time, as to why it
Couldn’t last, maybe it was physical
That you actually felt, only to realize
The waxing has been dealt.
Other Times financial that burns your love Desire
and melts the pot that simmered Your stew.
ONLY IF YOU COULD OF KNEW, WHAT ACTUALLY COMES FROM
BEING GROWN AND THRU A LOVE THAT WAS NO LONGER NEW.
That love is a job, that you must stay on!
No time for vacations or layoffs, love is
Not singular but plural, although you go
In it quite single, it’s the willingness to
Co-mingle and work at it that keeps love New
and if worked at long enough your
Love will in time improve. As experience will show and
EnAble you to know when to let up or get out and go
Cuz you feeling or sensing that love Ain’t true
and the love you had is no longer new!
LOVE EVERYDAY SO THAT YOU MAY BE LOVED IN EVERY WAY!
Peace
