Love's Goodbye
At first I started to curse,
Damning you for leaving
Not realizing I had left first
Seeing but not believing in the ending
Prolonging and performing in a show
Called LOVing
You said it to be special
And I replied that I felt you
Our Love Exchange brought Mutual Satisfaction
It was hot
It was steamy
Your moan’s and looks expressed in our actions
Pushing,
Pulling,
Climbing
And Tugging
You Shuttered and I Studdered
At the exact same time we both uttered
G-O-O-D-B-Y-E
Like steam rises in the sky until the point it dissolves
We didn’t see what was lost, we just remembered
The exact time, characterized by a sigh in unison
As we bid adieu to good loving, shared by two
For 2 years, 4 months and 28 days, characterized
By thighs climbing thighs, hands tugging hair and
Oh the sweetness of the slow then fast then slow
Pushing and pulling,
your wetness filled me
As we lay still in love’s marinade
In perfect silence as we tried to listen to
The shared breathing signaling Love’s Goodbye!
Now that you have gone, I reminisce on the
Song sung for soo long, saying so long and
With a last heavy gasp of breath, heavy in
Sweat that is swept from a brow too soon
In someway hoping to never consume in love’s
Brief stay as we rock and sway and convey
That today’s love was just that, today’s love
Representing life’s love, that does not retreat
For too long , lost in depravity and brevity
From an unsure love expression of truly
Connecting by way of Love’s Goodbye!
