CAN'T TAKE BACK WHAT I DONE PUT IN
Easy, Easy , Just Be Easy
Looking back doesn’t seem so silly
NOW
I’m all in, but can’t extricate fully
OR
Change the ends that don’t meet.
I came on strong performing 7 Days Long
Unwittingly curling toes and straightening hair
You saw a young buck diversion
Not foreseeing how your mind was twirling
Thinking this manly feast befitting for a Queen
Stripping a young man of dreams and vitality
Hoping to keep him performing for you privately
But playing with his mind while he played you erotically
No protection you were professing, I got you baby
Next thing was a baby in young bloods ‘ arms
While holding your older sons’ arms being raised by youth
In his eyes on my immaturity was the truth of a prize
He now adorns, claiming to be the son of pimp born
Something gone wrong, stressing corrective measures
But I can’t take back, what I done put in
Realizing and parlaying street commandments
Regulating and extorting thru learned commando tactics
He did become king of a clic of players demonstrating
Coolness and Calmness with Jakes and Jackers and
Recognizing the Fakers by the noise they be declaring
I thought this to be just my life not realizing seeds were
Watching this movie, and emulating to be like me
No longer in love with the life of this love
Thought to be friend and wife long gone, I perform
Moving slowly but still pleasing and causing shortness to breathe
Easy is how it should be as I beg and plead, don’t hurt nobody
Remember your seeds……
Can’t take back what I done put in, I say daily in prayers
Hoping for the day when Knowledge is Returned from Staying Away
Resuscitating a new way to carry one self and one’s community
So what is put in faithfully, responsibly and lovingly is fully returned
And I will rest assuredly on my contribution to a tribe of humanity
Laughing fully at this trivial youthful conspiracy turned to hope!
Because You Can’t take back What You Done Put In!
