A FISH OUT OF WATER
Swimming upstream to find a home of divinity
Whatever it may be, Budhist, Muslim or Christianity
To many speicies to name, faith is alway the same
All swimming to regain what is lost thru life
Jumping over each other is a fight for survival
First one to the finish line is guaranteed revival
Swimming back to the waters that spawn me
Hoping to not be caught in the nets of worldly conformity
Performing the daily ritual of eating to stay alive
Always careful about what to devour
Eating the wrong food is sure to hasten your demise
The water is my life and to live is to keep swimming
Hoping, praying, forgiving and giving and believing
These are the waters that sustain life
I hope to not be plucked, snagged or poisoned
by iniquity, to die along the shores before reaching home,
like a fish out of water.......
