What Are Tears
What Are Tears: Drew Lancaster
What are tears
But an attempt to plead with fate
Change its mind we beg
Pity for our sakes
Ask its forgiveness
Tell it of our crime
Whether Innocent or guilty
We will be exposed in due time
Yet tears mean nothing
They will not change a thing
They may send relief
A drought needs the rain
In the end the sadness still remains
I ask you
What are tears
An honest plea with fate
They give sufficient evidence
A justifiable reason
To the ending we create
