What Angels Must Do
WHAT ANGELS MUST DO: Drew Lancaster
I have spoken with soft tongues
Though shall not deny at eager times
A hardness spoke all for one
Both have proved worthless
Guilt in all innocence
Am I a son
A child that never smiles
When all alone is no fun
Left me here thats clear
Silent is my loaded gun
Through fear we choose to hear
As afraid causes dismay
Regretfully my heart should say
Mother, you being the last
Last I saw fade away
They will not hear
Nor choose to read with eye sight
I've counted many long ones
This being the lasts of those nights
My ears shall be closed tight
So say what you may, it's quiet alright
False holds true and you do too
The battle was mine to fight
Defeat shall not have me
Thus nor shall any of you
Not the right way to truly say
But that's what us angels must do
