Should We Be Birds
Should We be Birds: Drew Lancaster
Mama bird, like life
Puts baby bird to the test
The outcome two options
One life, Two Death
Suprised by time
Shortness of breath
Suddenly life strikes
Pushing us from our nests
Falling fast
Being so afraid
Time now of essence
Life has so betrayed
Fear grips the mind
Now unable to speak
Pray you know I would
Only tears can I weep
Just then it seems
All is lost in vain
Grace sends a wind
Love whispers your name
Be strong my child
Make your life a song to sing
When you fall child
Remember these two things
Grace the wind to fit you
Accept the love He gives you
And last of all
This one thing
Remember the song in your heart
Remind yourself to sing
And when all else fails, come rain come hail
His love will give you wings
