If The Mirror Were Me
If The Mirror Were Me: Drew Lancaster
I gazed in her eyes
The presence of her face
Short of a smile
This was not the case
Looking her over
I could not help but smile
She wanted to talk
Being graced with her presence
A lucky man
At least for a while
I sat in amazement
As she spoke of her flaws
I took many looks
Could see no justifiable cause
Her mirror has decieved her
Maybe those behind
Some have no heart
It is their nature to be unkind
With grace and a smile
She spoke of her plan
Plans can be bought
Pending the price
Pending the man
She asked my opinion
What was I to say
I've always been bad at this
Dreaded the day
It was an honest answer
Not attention she longed for
How do I word this
Look inside
Search really hard
I can solve your problem
I can fix that part
Depending on the damage
The depth light or dark
I've fixed mine so many times
Well, I have it down to an art
It may take time
It is never an easy task
Look past the mirror
The mirror loves to tell
Truth it will never ask
Your mirror now me
I'll show you what you can see
Joy in her eyes
When can you start
That depends on you see
I'll need to borrow your heart
