I MET WITH MY SOUL ON THE BANK OF THE RIVERS BED
I MET WITH MY SOUL ON THE BANK OF THE RIVERS BED
I met with my soul
On the bank of the rivers bed
Its reflection rippled
Clearly showing its head
Alot like mine
Deepened a shade of gray
Color glazed by time
Tears fled from His eyes
Though I felt none in mine
SOUL SPEAKS:
"I cry for the lies
Those you believe
A world so sadly gave
I now deny, Accept my apology"
"This they gave
One they forsaked
I bought for my soul to save
So digging you an early grave"
"Your skin so old and thin
With pain a color stains
Poor child where went your smile
They ask, where have you been"
"No answers for the questions
Truth you sought explored
Say goodbye, tear filled eyes
Leaving you closed at locked doors"
"Truth is you were cold
Yet they remained frozen
I bought your soul from satan
Heaven delayed while Hell was chosen"
"So I cry for you now
Thus you cry not
My explenation of salvation
Flow from my eyes never to stop"
"Lonely friend I have sinned
Against the heart that held me true
Keeping strong and undetered
Though fate you never knew"
"This is my river
All your tears I saved for you
Take a deep breath, one last step
Swim in the beauty of you"
"The bed of tears you shed
Peace now, its time to go
Rest your head and close your eyes
Breathe out and sink below"
"Friend they may never know
All you gave, the lives you saved
All wept of others dismay
Seeking not for you alone"
"It is true what Angels say
Mighty, couragous and brave
Many souls would envy
Blame it on desire and so crave"
"Smile you now, see the treasure bought
Wade with me love
Paid in full, pain endured
They seek you above"
"The world you made to roam
Despised and stood alone
Drown here in the love
It is time to come home"
SOUL IS SILENT
Though it was cold
A late winters day
My soul spoke to me
So I heed the words He say
One single tear
A smile graced my face
I knew it to be true
Agree with all He had to say
Must have been cold
They will surely think
To drown on this winters day
The edge of my rivers bank
Knowing not my tears so warm
All that my eyes gave
"Poor child carried such a heavy smile"
"He was mighty,couragous and brave"
They will damn the river not knowing
Blaming it for a death
Though it was I who found my soul
On the bank by the rivers bed
