Shean
You're in the room that I'm in.The shirt you wear hangs past your hips.
You search the room,
and the dim lights set your eyes ablaze.
And while in the car,
I secretly grab your hand,
while I shiver in the March air.
The windows are open so John and Jasmine
can flick their cigarettes outside.
Your fingers run over mine,
as if you were holding a michrophone meant to serenade.
How can I stand here in this room
and not be shaken by you,
not be able to imagine a life with you?
You've got so much going for you,
Don't waste your being on me.
