Gray Into Yellow
Her smile upturnedcurious and warm.
And helped fade gray into yellow.
Muffled snow
showed us how
to easily find ourselves
wonderful, forever.
Her cheeks,
so pink, so light,
lit the atmosphere brilliantly
and proved to me
there's more to life
than fake satisfaction.
A dying year,
rich and powerful
in beauty
showed me
death
is in fact beautiful.
It's winter now
and I
am unafraid.
