    Poem Commentary

    Another older poem that I always kind of liked.

    Seize the Day

     I can't bring myself
    to face the warming sunset
    that awaits
    the dawn of a new day
    and I can't get you off my mind
    as long as your heart and mine
    are still wildly beating
    for one another
    there's something inside me
    that feels for a part of you
    that empties full corridors
    of pain
    filling up inside me
    but I can't find a reason
    to seize the day
    because today's sunrise
    is nothing
    compared to the last one
    I saw with you.

    Ah, the angst of a jaded heart. Wonderfully written. We've all been there and can all relate, especially when the writing's this good. Great job!

    Awwwww :') you're fabulous! I have a boyfriend and this reminds me of him. He lives far off and so the sunset thing really relates.
