He is just tired,
Both physically,
And mentally.
Long days take their toll,
As the sun gives a beating,
While warm nights keep him up.
His mind in overdrive,
With nothing to distract,
He tosses and turns in his sleep.
Waiting to return,
He keeps in mind,
All the things he misses.
Feelings of replacement,
Or forgottenness,
Plague his mind from time to time.
Soon enough,
He will see,
Just what his return brings.
May it be good,
Or bad,
He has already accepted it.
Both physically,
And mentally.
Long days take their toll,
As the sun gives a beating,
While warm nights keep him up.
His mind in overdrive,
With nothing to distract,
He tosses and turns in his sleep.
Waiting to return,
He keeps in mind,
All the things he misses.
Feelings of replacement,
Or forgottenness,
Plague his mind from time to time.
Soon enough,
He will see,
Just what his return brings.
May it be good,
Or bad,
He has already accepted it.
