When I get back,
Will she still be there?
Will she still wish,
To see me once again?
Things have changed,
Since I have been gone,
From the Who's,
And the What's.
It will be a dream,
And a crashing wake up,
Of expectations,
Canceled out by reality.
But some things remain,
As they always will,
Perfect in condition,
As the mind has always kept it.
But the ones I wish to see,
That I used to know,
Will have either gone or stayed,
And I wonder,
Which one she will be.
Will she still be there?
Will she still wish,
To see me once again?
Things have changed,
Since I have been gone,
From the Who's,
And the What's.
It will be a dream,
And a crashing wake up,
Of expectations,
Canceled out by reality.
But some things remain,
As they always will,
Perfect in condition,
As the mind has always kept it.
But the ones I wish to see,
That I used to know,
Will have either gone or stayed,
And I wonder,
Which one she will be.
