It Was Like "Damn..."
I was the nerd,
the freak,
all tomboy
and brains,
nothin' worth lookin' at,
unless you happen
to be sittin'
next to me
during a test...
All my life,
that's what it was,
nose in a book,
and a pen in my hand...
Middle school
came and went,
brown haired
green-eyed,
Still no change,
'cept I had bigger boobs
and stuff...
I felt
outta place,
sittin' between
the smart pretty girls
and the jocks,
wishing I could hide...
Then came the summer
after middle school...
When I learned
to lay back,
relax...
Cut my hair,
put on some
make-up,
and learned
what a skirt was...
And what I saw
how I felt...
It was like "Damn..."
