Glorious
The snow swept across the road in broad-brush strokes
A white shore and a black beach
The bright blue azure wheel and maple tree spokes
Conifers, white clad atlases each
The wooded arms of the field slumbered restlessly
While the breeze swept back on high
Small white snow crystals that dazzled endlessly
Sol slowed his race to creep on by
I stood mesmerized on the verge in endless fascination
Watching the dance of tree and snow
This timeless yet ever changing machination
Listening to what the wind did know
A friend well meaning stopped by to ask
What was I waiting for?
I turned and smiled I have found today’s task?
Then I turned back for more
A white shore and a black beach
The bright blue azure wheel and maple tree spokes
Conifers, white clad atlases each
The wooded arms of the field slumbered restlessly
While the breeze swept back on high
Small white snow crystals that dazzled endlessly
Sol slowed his race to creep on by
I stood mesmerized on the verge in endless fascination
Watching the dance of tree and snow
This timeless yet ever changing machination
Listening to what the wind did know
A friend well meaning stopped by to ask
What was I waiting for?
I turned and smiled I have found today’s task?
Then I turned back for more
