Gargoyle (Girl)
Gargoyle (Girl)
Perched upon her temple’s pedestal of self; raised to the succinct height of greedy yearnings she awaits her audience.
Her true spirit is imprisoned to remain captive to a select few that only whisper what they want her to hear.
Longing for attention the soul of being was sacrificed for the acceptance of countless falsifications.
Unyielding and nonconforming to the emotions of her surroundings, she isn’t fully aware that she has become a statue impenetrable to the perplexities of what were once perfect affections.
Once alive and full of passion; with inflexible comprehension she gave over to a hardened heart, left to sit scrofulous and stone faced atop her rigid ledge.
Tears begin to stream from an unblinking stare and deep within - the nightmare of a stagnant release is all that is left, as the brain’s tower tolls with ringing reminders of her loss.
Inwardly, she uncontrollably turns marble cold as the life blood of his love drains from her existence forever more.
