Black
Black
Ravens wings so black they’re blue
Please fly away, fly away far
Your shadow darkens my heart with a saddened hue
Mysterious creature creepily sitting there
Do you mask the sun with dark clouds
And thicken the air with abysmal despair
You have wilted the flowers to form my desolate road
Causing my journey’s quest to prematurely reach its end
My burdens are such that I can no longer bare the load
Where have the leaves fallen from the lifeless tree
Oh sullen black bird that haunts from tangled branches
Why are you grotesquely glaring back at me
With stilled heart there’s something whispering in my head
My eyes slowly draw shut darkening as raven’s flesh
Tightly I hold onto my soul as my spirit departs,
for now I know “I’ll wake up dead”
