you unfinished
these tears I do not wish to dryfor they could become an ocean
the one that would bring you to my shore
and I have all my heart to try
even in the light of the moon
hoping for that chance to see you once more
my ache in the sands of time
is withdrawals from space so full of you
longing for your presence like never before
my soul in its painful cry
claiming miles of so much unseen
shooting off flares from its very core
we had existed
in a fortunate way
letting all the days
run together as they may
never a small sunset
beneath our brows
we lived it free
and we loved it loud
we had ignited
fires upon sheets
even days of gray
couldn't dampen our heat
a melody of us
sang so true
in everything we'd said
and in everything we'd do
