a once a year occasion
it was a gathering of sorts
being outside
it was hard to determine
what souls lay within
but the spirits were high
dancing inside the circle
and ties
even blood couldn't break
music filled this place
and the chatter
was incredulous
lights bounced off
showing a structure
without walls
the little dead tree
in the midst of this greatness
sprouted buds
in the dead of winter
fires sparked
and warmth was present
on this occasion
this once a year occasion
leaving some to wonder
why this doesn't happen
more often than not
