not so unseen now
you walked in
with the cold wind behind you
laid your keys on the table
I pretended not to notice you
my face would give away
how my season had changed
overnight from a perfect life
to a god-awful drain
but you were out of sight then
oh how long has it been
I was busy trying to keep this dream alive
keeping my heart where it should've been
like a thief you have stolen from me
when I was not looking
I wasn't fixed on reading any signs
because my life was happy
now I know where it is you go
when it seems that I don't know
but I watch as you unravel us
and rake our life across the coals
with the cold wind behind you
laid your keys on the table
I pretended not to notice you
my face would give away
how my season had changed
overnight from a perfect life
to a god-awful drain
but you were out of sight then
oh how long has it been
I was busy trying to keep this dream alive
keeping my heart where it should've been
like a thief you have stolen from me
when I was not looking
I wasn't fixed on reading any signs
because my life was happy
now I know where it is you go
when it seems that I don't know
but I watch as you unravel us
and rake our life across the coals
