it bounced back
the signals were sent out
no homing device intact
waiting for a response
just one to bounce back
that was yesterday
upon a warm october day
crowded about the festives
an entrance I had made
and "crashed" into an interception
my heart leaped out of place
the eyes would not disengage
vulnerability wagged it's tail
such familiarity in a stranger's face
the body tried to stand it's ground
to conceal what was held within
but the flicker had shown itself
to reveal that receiving end
and today
I am now convinced to the bone
that which was a mystery before
I can fall in a "place" only made for two
and it's not only found in folk lore
no homing device intact
waiting for a response
just one to bounce back
that was yesterday
upon a warm october day
crowded about the festives
an entrance I had made
and "crashed" into an interception
my heart leaped out of place
the eyes would not disengage
vulnerability wagged it's tail
such familiarity in a stranger's face
the body tried to stand it's ground
to conceal what was held within
but the flicker had shown itself
to reveal that receiving end
and today
I am now convinced to the bone
that which was a mystery before
I can fall in a "place" only made for two
and it's not only found in folk lore
