Woman Child
I am a girl who loves learning but felt robbed of a wonderful mystery when I found out what stars really are.
I am a girl who is proud of her parents for getting a divorce.
I am a girl who likes plain food and plain clothes but drastically alters her hairstyles a few times each year.
I am a girl who loves cleaning but refuses to straighten up her bedroom until it becomes an absolutely necessary.
I am a girl who won’t spend $5 on something I need but will easily spend $20 on gifts that others might want.
I am a girl who believes that most people are basically good, but still find a majority of those to be quite annoying.
I am a girl who spent years searching for her spiritual self but now won’t discuss my beliefs with most people.
I am a girl who feels like a woman-child even at 23 years of age.
I am a girl who is about to become a mother. It will be up to me to guide and nurture a unique individual and help her have the best life I can possibly give her. I can already tell that she’s a special one. I can feel it.
Trust me. Mothers know these things.
