Warm Solitude
Rain pours outside my soul.And looking out the window
I feel alone and afloat.
The world outside is flooding!
An ocean of love, uncertainty and birth
Swirling in triumphant dance.
It rains outside my soul.
And I snuggle beneath my blanket,
the fire crackling in its hearth.
A heavy book is open;
A steaming mug in hand.
I'm in a ship
Cast on the sea,
While it rains outside my window.
