Sample

Sample me.
I can lie still, beneath your blows,
Writhing beneath wet silk.
The peak of my pleasure
Is ruched,
Like a single thread pulled tight across lace,
Sharp and lingering,
Like a blade.

Sample me.
I am flexible and pliant,
Like a reed in a flood.
My welts rise, like puckered lips,
Red,
Swollen and glistening.
My bruises are poppies,
Blooming and wilting with force.

Sample me.
Tenderly take my thigh in your sharp-nailed grip
And ply it with a razor.
Then let us bathe in my pleasure.

And I will keen,
The music like blood sea on black sand.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
