    The Fine Consumption Of Books

    The fine consumption of books
    Occupies the earthbound mind
    Seeking flight in reverie.

This sumptuous fare is best handled with fingers,
    Devoutly tracing texture and bind
    Lovingly lingering upon every

     unspoken word.

Dramatic flourishes of heart and hate
Are consumed with every find --
    Like twinkling pieces of confection'ry.

    The fine consumption of books,
    Unable to sate nor confine,
Entices and lures the travel weary

    tired of following the herd.
