Unraveled

I think the path I've traveled,
has begun to unravel,
and I haven't even reached the end.
Can I choose another,
even though I'm already halfway there?
Where do I start,
and how do I begin?
I must have turned left
when I should have went right.
Now my path is overgrown with weeds,
and there's no end in sight.
Should I just turn back around,
or should I stay strong,
and boldly stand my ground?
Should I move forward into the unkown?
Where do you go,
when you don't know which way is home?
I think the path I've traveled,
has begun to unravel,
and now I'm lost and all alone.

It's all about the road. Don't turn around, you have already seen what's behind you. Keep your head up and keep moving. You should follow your first impulse and it put you on this road. Lace up your shoes, adjust what needs adjusting and keep moving. Don't worry about the light, there is not a train in every tunnel.

sometimes what seems like the wrong path is actually the way to go... you drift from your chosen path in a different direction sometimes for a reason... maybe for new experieces or a new perpective... either way this a really well written peice... nice job

If you're lost, I can't say what to do except to pray for guidance. GPS always helps. Stay strong and don't give up.

If I were you Trisha, I would scurry on back the way you came...wait till daybreak, and start out on a different path. A lovely poem, my dear........................................................gogant

The words tell of a certain path in question and it may have started to unravel but at least the problem is identified. So, just readjust your compass and you surely will find your way. Nice read and I am sure I have been there before.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
