A heart unworthy
I offered you my heart,
held it out for you to take and yet you turned away.
I know it isn't much to look at, it's bruised, tattered, and scarred.
But it still beats, after all that it's been through it's still whole.
It's been patched up time and time again but it's all that I have.
You took one look at my heart and found it unworthy.
It still works but for you that wasn't enough.
Now there is another hole and I've decided to just let it be.
A reminder to never let another see, to keep it guarded,
turned to stone.
Hard and tuff.
My heart is no pretty pink valentine.
Undesirable to you, I'll just keep it to myself.
Always and Forever mine.
