~Regret~
~Regret~
Regret hammers the soul,
With an heartless pounding grin,
Careful what you wish,
I know where you have been.
Longing for other days,
Some days longing for others ways.
To look upon a solitary glance,
To see one lost in regrets trance.
Black is the color of yesterdays might,
Yet white is the color of,
todays hind sight.
To wish of forgotten days,
Is to close the pages,
In the book of one’s fate.
To wish for things gone by,
Will surely make your,
Soul feel like it s faded.
Wish in the dark on a star,
And get back to me on,
How your wish went far.
Love the things that you have,
Or else rewind and circle back.
One ticket on this game,
We ride on this round rock.
I know you all feel the clock,
As it says tick tock,
Time up this ride’s over,
No more standing in the line,
No more rewinding game over.
I wish nothing more than I have,
I have no long sought off regret.
This I will speak freely,
And let my thoughts,
Float off gently,
to the wind!
